a fall poem

the trees - they wear
the same colors
they wore last autumn.
the colors - they fade
and fall to the ground,
on a stormy night.
the trees - they now reveal
the abandoned nests,
amid their naked branches.
the nests - they survive
the stormy night and
the unreturning.

Nice ! Good to see poetry back here

You seem to be obsessed with the 'unreturning' though, which I dont quite get.
